Midhurst, Elmvale, and country living minutes from the city
Springwater Township sits immediately northwest of Barrie and trades density for trees, larger lots, and a slower pace without giving up a short drive into town.
Springwater includes Midhurst, Elmvale, Snow Valley, Anten Mills, and Hillsdale, along with a great deal of countryside in between. Housing skews toward detached homes on larger lots, with newer estate-style subdivisions in areas like Midhurst and Snow Valley and long-established homes and farms elsewhere.
This is a popular choice for buyers who want space, privacy, and proximity to Snow Valley or Horseshoe Valley recreation, while remaining a short commute from Barrie. Well and septic, lot size, and frontage all factor into value here in ways they do not inside city limits.
If you are considering a move in or out of Springwater, I can explain how rural and estate properties are valued differently from in-town homes.
